    As Head of Transformation (m/f/d) you are responsible for the conceptual development and implementation of joined projects with Lufthansa Innovation Hub and Lufthansa Group, which are creating the groundwork for a Digital Transformation in Lufthansa Group.     Together with the Venture Development, Trend & Market Intelligence as well as Service & Business Design experts of Lufthansa Innovation Hub you will also develop comprehensible narratives, tangible products and services driving the visibility and impact of digital transformation within Lufthansa Group.     As Head of Business Development Asia (m/f/d) you are driving the growing Asian footprint of the Lufthansa Innovation Hub focussing on the predominant local Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystems. Serving as the primary “eyes and ears” of the Berlin/Germany-based LIH operation on the Asian continent, you will engage in a constant, proactive dialogue with relevant startups, corporates, academia as well as specific talent in order to ensure a sustainable rooting for our partnership, incubation and investment activities increasingly shifting towards Asia.

    In collaboration with the Trend & Market Intelligence and Business & Service Design team of LIH, the digital organization of Lufthansa Group as well as topic-specific specialists across the Lufthansa Group units your overarching goal is to increase our visibility as well as relevance in the growing Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystem of Asia and drive opportunities to leverage existing Lufthansa Group strategic advantages (e.g. customer reach, brand, data assets, infrastructure etc.) in multifaceted digital partnership setups (e.g. R&D, lead generation, affiliate, co-branding, service agreements, academia).

    With its first Satellite office in Singapore, Lufthansa Innovation Hub is expanding its footprint from Europe towards the world’s most dynamic Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystem Asia. Thereby, Singapore is of particular importance being a frontrunner in Urban Mobility as well as headquarter of the Lufthansa Group APAC organization.

    The Trend & Market Intelligence Analyst (m/f/d) covers a distinctive part in accelerating the knowledge base and research pipeline of LIH through in-depth-analyses of relevant trends and developments in the Asian Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystem.

    With the help of cutting-edge research and analysis tools, you will systematically track and screen the Asian startup ecosystem, compare and benchmark performance of leading travel platforms, identify R&D initiatives by key industry players and systematically observe the media narrative on Travel & Mobility Tech topics. The overarching goal is to predict which emerging trends and digitally-driven innovation efforts will succeed and potentially become strategically relevant for the digitization agenda of Lufthansa Group. These data-driven insights will be used to systematically develop strategic answers, e.g. through strategic partnerships, investments and in-house-development of digital products and services building on the strong Asian footprint of Lufthansa Group.

    As part of the LIH Trend & Market Intelligence team, the position will give you the chance to establish long-term-oriented knowhow grounded in the context of digital innovation in general as well as Travel & Mobility Tech in particular. You will be producing and curating market intelligence (specific insights, reports, analyses) in order to enhance our understanding of the Asian Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystem, for instance by focussing on newly established companies, venture capital streams and relevant changes on consumption habits.

    As the lead analyst for the Asian region, you will also help to identify potential partnership, investment and incubation opportunities with promising startups as well as seasoned tech talent from all over the Asian continent, especially focusing on core APAC markets as well as China in particular.

    Profile:

    • Business, Economics or Finance degree from leading business school or university is a must, quantitative focus a plus.
    • Analyst profile with 2+ years of experience (internships included) in equity research, investment banking, strategy consulting, venture capital, market intelligence and/or market research
    • Analytical skills with a highly numerate mindset and a zeal for accuracy
    • Strong business acumen with the ability to synthesize data and derive meaningful conclusions and insights
    • Strong Excel (to clean, transform, analyze and predict data) and Powerpoint (to synthesize and package insights) skills
    • Visualization skills (e.g. via Tableau) and other advanced analytics tools a big plus
    • Hands-on professional database experience (e.g. Bloomberg, CapIQ, Pitchbook, Similarweb, Mattermark, Tracxn, CBI)
    • Credible understanding of major technologies, startups and their relevant growth drivers
    • Fluent in English and Mandarin (further local languages a plus)
