In the spring of 2023, our New Business Team, in collaboration with Miles & More, launched Uptrip, an addition to the existing Miles & More services. At the core of the Uptrip App is the integration of Web3 technologies into the loyalty program, while incorporating gamification elements for a highly engaging experience.
The Uptrip App allows passengers of Lufthansa Group airlines to scan their boarding pass and exchange it for NFT collectible cards, which they can store in their own crypto wallets. These collectible cards can be combined into various collections. Complete collections can be redeemed for rewards, such as airport lounge access, flight upgrades, or status and bonus miles.
