Digital marketing of airfreight capacities in the spot market
In 2018, we have executed the investment in the Berlin-based logistics startup cargo.one for Lufthansa Cargo. cargo.one has set itself the goal of making online booking of airfreight capacities as easy as placing an order with Amazon. The platform only indicates the offer and the bookability of "best available rates". For that, cargo.one receives live spot rates from its partner airlines via proprietary interfaces. The forwarder can search, compare and book these spot rates on the platform in real-time.

The Lufthansa Innovation Hub has identified the cargo.one investment, structured it in a market-oriented manner and carried it out for Lufthansa Cargo.
