Job summary:

We are looking for a Junior Transformation Manager (all genders) who thrives on creating engagement and driving change through powerful facilitation and collaboration. You will work at the intersection of innovation, learning, and transformation, helping Lufthansa Group leaders and teams strengthen the mindset and skillset needed for future-ready organizations.

The Transformation Team at LIH equips Lufthansa Group and beyond with the capabilities and confidence to innovate. We design and facilitate unique learning experiences, workshops, smaller consulting projects and transformation programs that inspire people to think differently and act boldly.
Location: Berlin (with regular travel to Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna, Zurich)

Your Role:

You will be part of a growing team shaping how Lufthansa Group learns and transforms. Your focus will be on co-creating and facilitating impactful learning and innovation experiences in the form of training and workshops.

You will:

  • Facilitate and guide workshops and training — both in-person and virtual — across teams, leadership and innovation topics.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the Lufthansa Group to understand their needs, moderate discussions, and translate insights into learning or transformation interventions.
  • Bring clarity and structure to group processes, fostering reflection, dialogue, and collaboration at all hierarchy levels.
  • Contribute strong perspectives on key topics such as innovation methodologies, leadership transformation, technological developments (e.g. AI, robotics), culture change, and the future of work.
  • Apply and adapt established innovation frameworks as well as develop customized creative approaches and frameworks for specific business challenges.
  • Collaborate and coordinate across teams using structured project management approaches – plan work packages, define milestones, align deliverables, and ensure smooth execution.
  • Represent LIH and the Transformation team confidently in front of diverse audiences, including senior leadership.

Profile:

  • 1–2 years of professional experience in strategy, consulting, L&D, service design, or innovation management.
  • First experience in facilitation — you feel comfortable leading workshops, moderating discussions, and engaging with diverse groups and leadership levels. Important: You don’t have to be a pro yet, but you should bring curiosity, confidence, and ambition to grow in this field.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills — able to structure projects, manage timelines and milestones, and align stakeholders effectively (experience with tools like Notion, Asana, or similar is a plus).
  • Excellent communication— confident, clear, and engaging in both German and English (C1/C2) and advanced presentation skills (good PPT skills are a must, Canva and Figma a plus).
  • Foundational understanding of innovation and transformation frameworks such as Design Thinking or Lean Startup — we work with a diverse mix of approaches, and these provide a great starting point for you.
  • Collaborative mindset — able to build strong relationships and work effectively across disciplines, teams, and cultures.
  • Curiosity for new learning formats, emerging trends, and the evolving role of leadership in transformation.
  • Structured yet creative thinker — balancing strategic understanding with hands-on execution.

What we offer:

  • A diverse, forward-thinking team shaping the innovation agenda of the Lufthansa Group.
  • Opportunities to co-facilitate transformation programs alongside experienced practitioners and gain exposure to senior leadership.
  • A collaborative environment that values growth, experimentation, and ownership.
  • The chance to develop your facilitation and innovation practice in an inspiring setting at the heart of Berlin’s tech ecosystem.
  • Deep insights into corporate innovation and transformation within one of the world’s most iconic aviation brands.
  • Corporate benefits: As part of an airline, you’ll enjoy flight discounts — plus a USC membership, a personal development budget, and yes, we also do have a fruit basket.

At LIH, we are super committed to fostering an environment that promotes diversity and inclusivity. We do not discriminate in employment on the basis of factors irrelevant to merit, qualifications or business need such as age, race, colour, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, marital status, disability, medical status, or any other status covered by the relevant law in the areas where we operate.
