    Job summary:

    As Director Transformation (m/f/d) you are responsible for the conceptual development and implementation of joined transformation and education projects between the Lufthansa Innovation Hub and the Lufthansa Group. Shaping the “market perspective” on the digital transformation efforts of the Lufthansa Group, you will be constantly building bridges between the Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystem and the Lufthansa core organization regarding research, communication, transformation best practices as well as tangible educational efforts. 

    Your role implies regular stakeholder management within the Lufthansa Group as well as a constant exchange with relevant startups, service providers and frontrunners of the tech ecosystem. You should be very passionate about connecting and developing people as well as delivering the startup spirit into the Lufthansa Group in a structured, methodological manner. Steering existing projects (e.g. leadership education programs), developing new platforms to deliver our story and working closely with the various Lufthansa Innovation Hub teams will also be part of your role.

    The position is part of the LIH leadership team in Berlin with a high degree of personal presence at the Lufthansa Group locations in Frankfurt am Main, Munich, Vienna, Zurich and Cologne.

    Responsibilities:

    • Systematic knowhow transfer between LIH and Lufthansa Group

    Profile:

    The Senior Venture Development Manager (m/f/d) holistically leads the initial validation of digital venture opportunities in the context of Travel & Mobility Tech. Thereby, you will be particularly responsible for the setup of the underlying value and growth hypothesis, the definition of KPIs and milestones, the acquisition of relevant partners, the steering of the product development as well as the ongoing business development with internal and external stakeholders.

    Job summary:

    The Junior Intelligence Analyst (m/f/d) plays a leading role in accelerating the LIH’s research content pipeline through in-depth analyses of trends and developments in the Travel & Mobility Tech ecosystem around the globe.

    With the help of cutting-edge research and analysis tools, you will systematically track and screen the global startup ecosystem, compare and benchmark the performance of leading travel websites and apps, spot and identify R&D initiatives by leading industry players and systematically observe and interpret media coverage on Travel & Mobility Tech topics.

    As part of the fairly fresh Trend & Market Intelligence unit, the position will give you the chance to establish a long-term-oriented knowhow basis and become a well-rounded tech analyst and expert within digital innovation and the future of travel and mobility. You will be involved in curating crisp market intelligence to support decision making both within the Lufthansa Innovation Hub as well as various Lufthansa Group innovation units.

    Responsibilities:

    • Understand business objectives and compile, analyze and synthesize statistical data, utilizing an existing portfolio of cutting-edge research tools

    Profile:

    Your Tasks

    • Contribute to Yilu’s distributed platform and help deliver a modern, scalable and resilient system;
    • Design, develop, roll-out and maintain microservices with stable and consistent APIs;
    • Refactor synchronous, domain-modeled services to an asynchronous event sourced ones;
    • Own your work, from development to production;
    • Work as part of a cross-functional scrum team which delivers value each sprint;
    • Apply best practices for designing distributed systems and mentor engineers.

    Requirements

    • 5 years of experience in building and maintaining distributed systems;
    • Fluent in at least two out of Java, Python and Scala;
    • Deep understanding of distributed systems, their challenges and trade-offs;
    • Experience in designing, implementing and observing microservice-based architectures;
    • Hands-on experience with event sourcing, CQRS as well as messaging systems and streaming platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.);
    • Excellent analytical skills and an agile mindset, with the focus on delivering user value;
    • Experience with Kubernetes, AWS and Terraform as well as familiarity with functional programming are a huge plus.

    Your Tasks

    • Improve the solution to customer frictions and needs in accordance with Yilu goals, market viability, and technical feasibility;
    • Collaborate effectively within multi-disciplinary teams including product owners, engineers, business developers, and C-level stakeholders;
    • As part of the product and design unit, provide input to the roadmap and product strategy;
    • Deliver quality UX assets, such as concepts, personas, user journeys, storyboards, system maps, user flows, wireframes, visual design comps, and prototypes with Sketch, Adobe CS, InVision, and other tools;
    • Define visual direction and craft UI interfaces and interaction design for both mobile and desktop, that are intuitive and easy to use;
    • Incorporate user research and usability testing to iterate on product solutions;
    • Define and implement best practice design interfaces;
    • Work with insights-driven A/B testing and optimization;
    • Encourage open communication to ensure alignment as well as knowledge transfer within the team and across the company.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of professional experience as a Product Designer or UX/UI Designer;
    • Working experience with Sketch and InVision, as well as animation tools like Principle, After Effects, Flinto, etc;
    • Proven experience delivering concepts, working with design systems, creating personas, user journeys, storyboards, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, etc;
